May 9 - Flowers

More flower shots. You may see a lot. This gardening thing is a whole new experience to me.

May 9th - Flowers Popping Up

I have been a city girl my entire life. That is until I moved to Maine. Last fall Dan showed me how to do some gardening. We started with a 12 foot diameter circle. These are flowers I planted. Be impressed! Who said you can't take the city out of a girl...

Mmm, lobster!

May 5 - Al Cooking His Lobster

Al had his first, and I am sure not his last, opportunity to cook his own lobster - well all of our lobsters. Dan, the professional, showed Al how to cut the rubber bands off the claws and stick them in the pot. He even put the clear lid on the pot so Al could watch their demise. I know, it sounds cruel, but it was Al's birthday, and apparently it was his best ever birthday.

May 5 - At Play Eric & Will

Eric and Will fighting over who gets to roll down the hill in the tunnel. Good thing Lola didn't get in on the action.

May 5 - At Play

Every one came to our house for a lobster feast for Al's (Suzy's dad) birthday. Al would turn into a lobster if it were possible. I had the boys outside playing in Lola's agility tunnel. They figured if she could run in and out of it, so could they!

April 21 - ah... snow is gone

This is more like it. Starting to feel like spring. Took Lola down to Marty & Diana's beach for some water play time.

April 4 Blizzard - Tulips

Mom got the creative idea to put my vase of tulips on the outside table. The snow ate up the vase and she got this great shot!

April 4 Blizzard - playing with Lola

Having fun with Lola.

April 4 Blizzard

It sure was pretty...

April 4 - Blizzard - Lola

It's official. Lola's favorite season is WINTER. She would not stop playing. As she did the snow was so wet it was gathering in her fur like snowballs. She had them around her neck and in her haunches. I would have to stop her to knock it all off of her because it was weighing her down. But that didn't stop her.

April Blizzard

Well, so much for sun in Mexico. It snowed 16 inches on April 4, the Thursday before Easter. My garden flamingos from Bernie were almost buried.

Mexico with Lisa & Nicole - 13

Our last beverage before check out. It was a very relaxing, no worries kind of trip. We hung out, read, slept, got sun, did some exercise, bought some pottery, ate decently, and had a few cocktails. All a girl can ask of her XXth birthday celebration.

Our birthday celebration. In Spanish Lisa told the waiter we were celebrating our birthdays so they came out, put these sombreros on our heads, sang happy birthday, and made a racket. It was a lot of fun. Dinner was good too!

Before we knew it we were talked into "donkey sperm" shots. They were actually very yummy, banana liquor and blender-ed banana. But we were instructed that we couldn't use our hands, had to pick it up with our months and knock it back. It was fun and disastrous all at once.

Mexico with Lisa & Nicole - 9

I think this is our last night and we decided to eat off the property and celebrate our birthdays. Before we went though we stopped at the bar and ran into some youngins that added a little rowdiness to our trip. This is the storm before the calm.

What can I say? We are easily amused.

Mexico with Lisa & Nicole - 8

Me and Nicole wading/swimming out to a big trampoline out in the water. It was a riot. We could barely get up the ladder to go jumping on it. And we were laughing hysterically. It was a blast. I guess you had to be there but take my word for it! Lisa said she could hear us back on shore.

Our accommodations. And they were quite nice. We did this some what sort of last minute and tried to make it reasonable so we weren't exactly sure what the rooms would be like. It had a nice balcony, we had turn down service every night where they freshened our towels, put chocolates on the bed, turned on relaxing music, and brought a bucket of ice. And in the bathrooms were these great bath products. Needless to say we brought many of those home!

Nicole enjoying a pina colada! Lot's of good, fruity drinks available. One was called Frog in a Blender. And in not too gross of a way it did look like that. But it was tasty.
